Bioinformatics Workshop on R/BioConductor for MicroArray Analysis

You are cordially invited to participate in a hands-on workshop on R/BioConductor.
DATE: Fri 13 June 2008

    HANDS-ON:
    Please bring your laptop with you with power cable. Minimum requirements 1 Gbyte RAM PC with DVD reader. LiveCD will be issued. Alternatively, you can install on your Windows operating system VMPlayer and download a vmk file which will we customise for you.

    Julian Lee Julian Lee, Omniarray Research Group
    Cellular and Molecular Research
    National Cancer Center, Singapore

    Julian Lee graduated from the Department of Computational Science NUS in 2006. His Undergraduate Research Project thesis was on the classification of CNS drugs using Support-Vector Machines. In his honours year, he investigated the cross-talk between EGF and NGF by modeling these signal transduction pathways with Ordinary Differential Equations. He now works at the National Cancer Centre Singapore; in the Genomic Oncology lab where he specializes in the analysis of microarray data.
